Reining Horse Sound Again on PJS

Deep Digital Flexor Tendon Injury

I first began using PJS in July of 2011 on the most important horse I have in training, my wife’s horse. Her five year old gelding had sustained a DDFT injury during his three year old year while preparing for the 2009 NRHA Futurity. He was able to compete, and even made the finals, but was not able to perform up to his full potential. While this was very disappointing to us, the recovery was downright heartbreaking. We spent the next year rehabilitating him wondering if he would ever be sound again.

Recovery Period

By the end of 2010 we were able to ride him again with the understanding that he would not be able to perform with 100% of his abilities. This was a fact that we felt that we had to accept, because we had tried almost everything we thought possible. We began competing again in early 2011, but were very selective where we would show him and we were very careful with how we trained with him. He would begin many of his workouts seeming a little stiff in his body and legs, and sometimes seem a little reluctant to get to work, not how a healthy five year old with his breeding and athleticism should be.

PJS All-In-One Leg Solution

That summer I was approached with a new form of joint and soft tissue therapy in the form of a supplement. I had used supplements in the past and had not seen any significant difference in the horses I had used them on. I in fact had stopped using them all together and had almost sworn off of them entirely. However, this horse had grown very close to my wife and mine’s hearts, and I was willing to try anything to help him. Within a couple of weeks I began to notice a difference in how he began his workouts and in his overall attitude. Shortly after that we took him to his first show while on the supplement where my wife scored her very first plus one maneuver! After about two months he felt like the strong healthy three year old that I had remembered.

Since then I have used PJS on some of my other training horses with great results, as both a form of therapy and a preventative.

  1. I have. Seven year old mare that tore her stifle while out in pasture. We think she jumped a barb wire fence and she had approximately 38 stitches to repair the tear.
I have been told that the scar tissue can never be healed and that she will be only able to be ridden lightly on trails as she drags the hurt leg when she trots. So I basically am just keeping her a pasture ornament .Do you think your product could help her?
    Thank you,
