Add to that heat and humidity and it is a true test of any horse’s endurance. Kella Powell Matthews, a trainer in Florida and a Precision Sales Representative put her lesson horses to the test and took them on a cross country schooling camp.

13551040_10205765853299497_920502250_nOn June 7-10, Finish Line Farm took a group of five students and their horses to school cross country jumps at two different farms in Florida. 4 of the 5 horses are on Precision Joint Solution. The horses were under tack for three hours the first day and jumped entry level 2 foot jumps. The second day, the students rode for over two hours, some jumping beginner novice fences at 2’6. They did the water a complex, riding up and down banks, hills and jumping jumps. The third day, we traveled to a different farm and schooled again for over two hours. The four horses on Precision Joint Solution were great, they held up in the heat, cooled down quickly, were moving forward, and never stiff or sore. These horses are also used to being out all night and only had a little paddock attached to the stalls, where we stabled at.

13566011_10205767633383998_1463375283_nThe four Precision horses are: Annie Oatley: 14 year old Percheron/ Thoroughbred cross. Does lower level eventing and had hock issues (stiffness) before Precision. She no longer shows any signs of stiffness in her hocks and is a lot more willing to go forward. She also went out on the second schooling trip third days later, for a more advanced group of students and never had to be medicated and stayed sound and strong thru both trips.

The Quintessential: is a 21 yo appendix quarter horse, who is primarily a hunter but is now doing low level eventing and jumpers. Q is a very picky eater but has no problem eating PJS. Since starting Precision, his coat looks amazing, his muscle tone has improved and he does not breathe as hard with the increase of humidity. It’s usually around this time in Florida, he is very susceptible to rain rot. He has not shown any sign of fungus. His owner attributes it to the supplement. His willingness to go forward has also improved. He did great on soundness, being jumped three days in a row.

13553419_10205765862659731_1516145334_nGillian: 15 year old Swedish Warmblood. First level dressage horse and low level eventer. Gillian has been on PJS for almost two years now. Since starting the supplement, she has not taken a lame step. She injured her knee in turnout, three years ago and was not consistently sound until starting Precision. Also, she has major skin issues. Since being on Precision Joint Solution, she now has a beautiful coat and a full mane and tail. After her knee injury, she was always very sore after jumping. Her knee would also get inflamed and now she no longer has that problem. She jumped consistently well, for three days in a row and was not medicated.

Hinto: 7 year old paint cross. He has just started Precision Joint Solution A week before we left on the trip. She started him on it because she saw the awesome results in her other horse, Q who is leased out by one of Kella’s clients.

Through days of schooling and multiple rides each day, each horse came out fresh and sound. Kella believes each horse maintained so well because of Precision Joint Solution. If you think Precision could help your lesson horse stay sound during camps and weeks of showing, click here to learn more!
