Kella Powell Mathews began riding horses in 1986. Growing up in Florida, she was an active member of the United States Pony Club and competing in Combined Training. In 1997, she began attending the University of Findlay and was a student at their English Farm. As a senior, she began riding in “A” rated horse shows, in the Midwest competing in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. Upon graduating in 2001, with a double major in Equestrian Studies and Equine Biological Sciences, she was chosen to be the 5th year intern. During her internship, she gained experience teaching the students’ Fundamentals of English Riding, horse showing and earned her Equine Management degree. She was then hired on as faculty teaching for the University, until she moved to Arizona in 2003.
In Arizona, she began working at Herrick Stables for professionals Tim and Susan Herrick. She was their assistant trainer for about 3 years; riding, teaching and going to horseshows. In 2007, she started her own hunter/jumper business, Cactus Hill Farm. Along with her own clients, she also taught lessons for top Arizona professional, A.J. Flynn at the Flynn Family Farm.
In 2008, Kella and her husband Jeremy returned to Florida to raise their twin boys, Ethan and Zachary. There she is a trainer at a small private barn, Finish Line Farm. She is doing what she loves best, riding and teaching her students how to ride well on her lesson horse, Teddy. Thanks to Precision Joint Solution, her 23 year old lesson horses, moves like he did when he was in his prime!

Kristen has been riding and competing horses for over 35 years. She began her show experience in western pleasure, turning eventually to hunters and now dressage. Always believing in the benefits of cross training her horses, she has ridden in numerous parades and spent many, many miles on the trail.
Kristen’s experience with horses also includes breeding Hanoverian sporthorses. She has spent more than 14 years developing a breeding program to produce high quality horses with excellent temperaments and high trainability, creating horses that are enjoyable to the amateur rider and talented enough for the professional. She has produced several national champions.
Kristen also believes in natural horsekeeping. All of her horses are in turnout at all times living in a herd environment. They are all ridden and competed barefoot. Even in the harsh Arizona desert her horses’ hooves remain healthy and sound. She has even rehabilitated a severely foundered horse by taking him barefoot and giving him a more natural lifestyle. Keeping a diet that is as free from chemicals as possible helps to maintain her horses’ health as well. And Precision Joint Solution has taken her horses to the next level of comfort. Her very arthritic aged horse is cantering around like a youngster thanks to Precision Joint Solution!!
Kristen nurtures a flourishing bodywork and rehabilitation practice in Arizona. Being a certified equine acupressure practitioner has enabled her to not only improve her own horses, but also help her equine clients feel better and become more balanced in mind, body and spirit. She is thankful to give back to the horses that give us so much every day.
Holly Heidemann, of Cedar Creek, Tx, is a professional barrel horse trainer, clinician, and natural barefoot trimmer. She has been training and teaching for over twenty years.
Her love for a horse named HH Easy Bar Bailey has spurred her on to some of her greatest challenges, accomplishments, and blessings. Bailey’s unsoundness is what prompted her to learn to trim for optimal soundness. It is also what led her to Precision Joint Solution. PJS has kept her best horse running stronger and better than before he had laminitis, hock spurs, and back problems. It is now a vital part of her training program and she is excited to offer it to her trimming and training clients. It gives older horses a new lease on life and keeps the young ones running strong!
Ever since the first day I met a horse, I had been running around acting like one and drawing the majestic creatures every chance I got. I must have begged every day for years and years all while collecting lunch money from my mom that I put away in an effort to purchase my first horse. Then, FINALLY the day came where we found the perfect nightmare of a OTT Thoroughbred which we named “Bueller”. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into the schooling of Bueller to turn him into a respectable citizen, and my best friend. With the help of Cherie Hecht and the support of my mom we made it all the way to the top as show jumpers. Eventually the money ran out and we moved on to just pleasure riding at the barn. I hope to again be in the competitive ring someday soon.
After a major motorcycle accident I was left with a life changing injury to my foot and was advised that I likely wouldn’t be competitively riding again. This was devastating to me and very hard to come to terms with. In the six months I was trying desperately to heal and be normal, I gradually started to lose hope as nothing seemed to be getting any better. It was in the worst of times I came into contact with Cherie again who told me all about the Acuscope. She got me back on track nutritionally and out to Texas I flew to see this instrument and get certified to use it. After ONE treatment the feeling in my foot came back. After the two weeks of treatments I got while I was there, I was relatively pain free. This experience threw me on the track of wanting to help others feel the same relief I did and who better to help than our equine athletes.
Today I focus primarily on helping my equine friends feel their best with my electro-acuscope therapy and Precision Joint Solution.
A lifelong resident of Arizona, Kelly has always had a love for horses. Growing up she would ride her bike to the nearest stable to rent a horse since her family didn’t have the means to have horses of their own. After graduating high school and working part-time while beginning college, Kelly finally bought her first horse which she boarded at Papago Stables near the river bottom by ASU. She now lives on acreage in Chandler, Arizona and is the proud owner of not one, but four beautiful horses which she shares with her husband and daughter and actively competes, along with her daughter, in local barrel races and gymkhanas. Kelly is also a professor at one of the local community colleges and has taught Biology there for the last 12 years. When learning about the product of Precision Joint Solution she was intrigued by the combination of ingredients and with her biological background, also knew she had found something special.
