We all know there are a ton of joint supplements on the market. All of us at Precision are equestrians so believe us when we say, we have tried them all. Most joint supplements on the market today focus solely on the joint and do not address any other parts of the leg including tendons and ligaments. One of the ways that makes Precision unique is that it addresses the entire joint matrix. The joint and the connective tissue (tendons and ligaments).
So how does Precision All-In-one Leg Solution support tendons and ligaments? What makes Precision so unique?
Tendons and ligaments are made up of elastins and collagen. Elastin is a protein in connective tissue that is well… elastic! It allows the tissues in the body to resume their shape after stretching or contracting. Collagen is the main supportive protein of cartilage, connective tissue, tendon, skin, hooves and bone. Precision’s first key ingredient is Natural Egg Membrane (NEM) which contains an incredible form of elastin and collagen. Feeding this bio-available water soluble form of elastin and collagen proteins helps strengthen and support all the tendons and ligaments as well as cartilage and bones.
In the case of injured connective tissue, this collagen can help by giving the body the proper nutrients to repair rips, tears and strains of tendons and ligaments. Additionally, the systemic or also known as pro-tease enzymes in Precision have shown to help reduce inflammation and scar tissue from injuries. These crucial factors are often lacking in most joint supplements. Matter of fact, Precision All-In-one Leg Solution is the only formula on the market today with the proprietary blend of both systemic enzymes and natural egg membrane.
With any horse whether it is a young one preparing for a long career or an older retiree trying to stay sound, anytime you can add support for the tendons and ligaments, you want to take advantage of that. At Precision, we are looking to support the whole structure of the leg, not just the joint itself. If the connective tissue holding the joint together fails, the joint will fail. With Precision Joint Solution you get joint support + soft tissue + bone + hoof support all-in-one.
We have had many successful testimonials of horses with tendon and ligament injuries that have shown an improved healing time while being on Precision. One of Pecisions fan favorites is “Tiny Tim” who has a ligament disease called DSLD. Tim showed an amazing improvement while being on Precision. Click here to read that testimonial.
Precision horses are moving better, feeling better, and preforming better then ever. Whether you are dealing with soft tissue injury or you are looking to prevent one, Precision All-In-one Leg Solution is the answer. To get your supply today click here.

My knowledge of Serrapeptase as a helpful enzyme from the Japanese silkworm says that it is only useful if it makes it past the stomach and into the intestines before being exposed to the digestive process. It is required to be taken on an empty stomach, not with food or it simply works on the breakdown of the protein in the food and does not make it into the bloodstream where its medicinal properties are useful. In what way are you intending it to be used in the horse?
Serrapeptase is generally enteric coated (encapsulated to make it past the stomach) I believe that the protocol for people is taken 1/2 hour before eating or two hours after last ingesting food. Most horses eat constantly and to have the supplements they have to have them added to food? or do you add yours to water? Horse’s stomach acid is much stronger than people, to enable them to digest and break down the cellulose / lignin???
Have you done tests on the absorption of serrapeptase by the horse’s body?
Hello Jay,
Thank you for your questions on the serrapeptase. Let me take a moment to answer your questions. Our Serrapeptase is in a powder form however it is sprayed with an enteric coating to protect the enzymes as it works its way down through to the digestive tract. We also have our serrapeptase sealed in daily dosage packets to maintain and protect the vitality of the enzymes. There is a difference between a digestive enzyme and a systemic enzyme. Systemic enzymes help to build and maintain overall health. They may be taken to address specific issues, but just as often are used to promote prevention and provide general body support. Supported processes include the breakdown of excess mucus, fibrin, many toxins, allergens, and clotting factors. Many people use systemic enzymes instead of NSAIDS, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, since they also can be helpful in the temporary reduction of swelling. Unlike NSAIDS, systemic enzymes are able to pinpoint only the harmful circulating immune complexes (CICs) without suppressing the CICs that are beneficial. Speaking with several specialist in the field, it has been explained that systemic enzymes do not work the same way as digestive enzymes and does not focus on breaking down the protein in the food the same way as a digestive enzyme would. However it is recommended, as most supplements are, to be taken on an empty stomach to get the highest absorption rate.
Most of our clients horses usually do not live on pasture 24 hrs a day. If you are feeding a horse supplements they are on some sort of a rotation program so that they can be able to eat their supplements daily. Often they will be turnout to pasture for the day, brought in the evening and fed later that night. After being fed their grain they are given hay. Much is the same procedure in the mornings as well. first fed grain with supplements and then hay before turning out. Through our research and development we did not see a change or lack of anti-inflammatory response by feeding the PJS AM vs PM. As for the horses stomach acid vs human, again the enzymes are coated for protection. Also Human salivary pH is acidic to basic at 6-7.4 (7 being neutral). Dogs have a similar salivary pH. Horse pH is 8-9, a little more Alkaline. Horses and humans acid levels are actually about the same in the gut. However the stomach can be at different levels of acidity depending on the time. As for absorption rate we are in process (in the waiting line) for a 30 day double blind placebo test to be taken on our product so that we can have those exact numbers. Previous outside studies that have been done on the absorption rate are not consistent with each other but all show some absorption into the bloodstream. Our daily dosage is quite high of 360,000 iu with the understanding that there can be limiting factors in absorption. The in-house studies that were done in the beginning of research and development were documented and charted on the visible improvements in mobility, increase in comfort, reduction in tissue swelling, increase in hoof growth and quality, increase in recovery time, increase in healing time. We are very excited to be in the next phase of outside clinical trials for Precision Joint Solution and hope to have a published study released in 2015. I hope this helps answer your questions and please let me know if I can be anyway more of assistance!
Sincerely,
Cherie Hecht – PJS Team Member & Founder
