WOW! That is really all I can say. I have tried so many feed through joint supplements through the years. I have never noticed any difference and just “hoped” they were working.
“When I would come across a horse with advanced arthritis, my gold standard has always been Adequan injectable.”
Fast forward through lots of horses to a mare I just purchased. Skylar Blue is a 15 year old AQHA daughter of Sky’s Blue Boy. She has spent the past 10 years on the hunter circuit and has had lots of miles put on her.
When I first saw her, she was a bit of a diamond in the rough. Turned out to pasture for the past year and no TLC to speak of, all of her years of fence work had caught up. Her knees hurt, her hocks were noticeably sore and her feet left a lot to be desired. My “hope” was to get her comfortable enough to be a trail horse for my fiance. I debated going straight to Adequan, but having worked with Cherie in the past with a few of my horses, I knew if she was behind a supplement, it was worth trying. So, I decided I would give PJS 60 days and if not marked improvement, I would go to injectables.
Back to WOW, Skylar just finished her first month on PJS and the difference in her movement is night and day. I am so thrilled.
Her transitions are smooth and without complaint. Her attitude is happy. Her new foot growth is fabulous. NEVER did I think I would get behind a feed through joint supplement, but I am sold. I have since started my show gelding on PJS as a preventative and am telling everyone I know about this product. I just may keep Skylar for myself and see what she can do on the flat in AQHA!
