Holly Heidemann was born with a horse shaped heart. She started her riding career at age four with a mean little Shetland stallion named Buddy Shorty. After high school, Holly worked with multiple barrel horse trainers before going into business for herself training futurity horses in the mid 90’s. Frustrated with cowboying colts through a barrel pattern, she changed gears as she aged, working with reiners, dressage trainers, and working cow horse trainers.
Holly began diversifying her training and building a really broke barrel horse that could easily maneuver through shifts in her body. She believes that learning from various disciplines has made her more aware as a rider and trainer and has kept her open to new ways to communicate with horses.
Over the last five years, Holly has been trimming using Natural Barefoot Trim philosophies. Many clients come to Holly as a last ditch effort for horses with problem feet. Pulling shoes and using barefoot trimming can allow these horses to heal. Precision Joint Solution has helped many of them through that process.
Holly met Cherie Hecht and Kelly Jones when she sold a filly to Kelly. Kelly was still living in Arizona and she asked Cherie to deliver supplements for the filly before she was shipped to Arizona. Holly and Cherie became instant friends who felt like they had known each other their entire lives. Cherie became a trusted advisor on keeping Holly’s barrel horses sound and happy with her bodywork and nutritional knowledge.
When Cherie first developed Precision Joint Solution, she offered to put Holly’s beloved Bailey on it. He was a victim of recurring white line infection and had several founder episodes.
“After just five months on Precision Joint Solution and he was back to running.”
He looked better than he had in years. It was like giving him his life back again. Holly has watched many of her trimming and training clients return their horses to soundness using Precision Joint Solution this year. It’s a beautiful thing to see!
